UPDATE: Detra's surgery will be Aug. 25 (Tuesday) at 7:15 AM at Cobb Wellstar on East-West Connector. The mass is now 11 cm and, according to the GYN, the size of a 12 week fetus. Prayers are appreciated. If you need more info my cell is 678-463-3506. Thanks to all. God is still sovereign.

Please remember my wife, Detra, in your prayers. We discovered a week ago that she has a 10 cm ovarian cyst. Initial blood work shows no indicators for cancer, but her doctor is concerned that it appears to be "branching" (her term) and is trying to schedule an appointment with an oncologist for a second opinion and direction for surgery. We're hoping that this surgery will take place soon, as we are on COBRA insurance (is it coincidence COBRA is also the name of G.I. Joe's archenemy....Hmmmm...)...Detra lost her job in May and I haven't been able to find a teaching or full-time position as of yet. God is still sovereign, and we are trusting totally in Him.
